What to do when you are involved in a auto accident (Part 1)

So you've been in an accident ? It doesn't matter if it's your first time or not, it is always a shock when you are struck. In this post I will give some advice about what to do.

1) make sure you and your passengers are alright. Assess the situation and determine if there is an immediate need for an ambulance. Right after an accident you are probably shook up and it make take a few minutes to register what just happened.

2) If the weather conditions, or the area that you are in are not safe, stay in your car. Call the police.

3) Before, during or after the police arrive, take pictures of the damage to all vehicles involved in the accident as well as license plate numbers and drivers licenses.

4) If you are experiencing any immediate symptoms, have authorities call an ambulance. Usually when the police arrive they will ask if everyone is O.K. If not, it's better to be taken to the hospital then not.
